Araceli Martinez

Araceli (Chely) Martinez is a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago pursuing a double major in Graphic Design and Industrial Design. She served as the secretary of the UIC IDSA Student Chapter 2016-2017. She believes in the importance of expanding the community of design and is proud to be involved in Advanced Design Sketching.

Chely has won the UIC Annual Lock-In competition three years in a row – one of her greatest accomplishments. She recently worked as a Graphic Design Intern at Shedd Aquarium and discovered a newfound love for belugas.

Chely is passionate about using her hands to create and is interested in user experience research and material driven design.
