Marisa Savegnago

Marisa Savegnago is a senior in the Industrial Design program at University of Illinois at Chicago.  She has been a competitive swimmer for thirteen years and is currently a captain of UIC’s swim and dive team.

She has worked as a visual display intern at Anthropologie as well as a shop assistant at Wehrli Woodworks in Naperville where she built up her skill set in wood working and marketing.  Marisa recently had the opportunity to spend the summer in Copenhagen studying furniture design where she was given the Furniture Design Program award of Academic Excellence. 

She loves to explore new areas of design and is interested in sustainable design and design that empowers its users.  She has a wide variety of interests throughout the world of design and hopes to continue to expand her skill set and explore new areas of design.
